  5. Technical Drop-In 2nd September 2025

Modified on Thu, 4 Sep at 3:52 PM

    • These are the issues that were covered during the drop in session.

The session was recorded, timestamps for each section are listed so you can navigate straight to the part of the video that you require.

      1. Update to self-assessments . 1:02

All learners using a self-assessment will be asked to confirm that they understand that is a supervised self-assessment. Those already enrolled will see the message the next time they access the self-assessment, new learners will see the message on their first access.

      2. Update on training sessions. 4:00

Two training sessions are being delivered this week and next. Session 1 is around centre set up and is for centre managers and implementation leads. Session 2 is on self-assessments; including submission and sign-off of competencies. More details can be found in our support article.

      3. Update on role terminology. 8:06

We use system terminology when referring to roles, these roles sometimes have framework specific terms and supervisor is sometimes known as educator/manager. Framework specific terms will be removed later this year to avoid confusion. Once clearer dates and timescales are available they will be shared.

      4. Is there a way to upload evidence to each capability in the platform, to create a portfolio for learners? 12:59

Not at the moment, but there is a known need for evidence uploading across frameworks and this work is planned for future development. The intention is to eventually support portfolio creation, but there are hurdles to overcome first. Framework owners are encouraged to keep raising this need to help prioritise it.

      5. Why is the setup different for registering delegates at different centres? 15:25

This is due to registration prompts. These are configurable by centre managers and can differ based on local needs. Long-standing centres may have predetermined prompts, but these can be changed if needed.

      6. Why do some learners who have completed all proficiencies still show as 'in progress' on the dashboard? 19:43

This is a specific question related to identifiable data dashboards which are currently being piloted by a small number of users. Further details are required so that we can investigate this in more depth.

      6. Are the identifiable data dashboards available to everyone or just pilot sites? 24:20

The dashboards are still in pilot phase; wider rollout is dependent on resolving current issues.

      6. Why do the number of emails we've received about registration not match the number of people we have on the platform? 25:48

Without seeing the contents of the email it is hard to tell, however the discrepancy may be due to only seeing the approvals for registration outside pre-approved IP addresses. Most users likely register from a pre-approved IP address or are registered within the platform itself. Further investigation can be undertaken on provision of the relevant email.

      6. Is there a way to merge DLS and Learning Hub accounts, as users are struggling with this? 27:54

Linking DLS accounts to Learning Hub is straightforward if users have only one Learning Hub account. If there are multiple accounts, the support team can assist on a case-by-case basis.

      6. Can the platform restrict learners to submitting only one assessment at a time, to avoid confusion? (IV Therapy) 29:30

This is not currently possible, but may be considered for future development. Currently this needs to be managed by centres at a local level.

      6. Why does the supervisor’s name disappear from their self-assessment, even once they have achieved final sign-off? 34:36

This appears to be a bug and will be investigated further by our team. *UPDATE* This has been confirmed as a bug and has been raised with our developers to be fixed.
