TEL DLS Technical Drop In Session-20250701_130315-Meeting Recording 1 on Vimeo
1. New training offering. 5:03
New, dedicated training sessions will be offered to anyone using frameworks. The first dates for these sessions will be in August/September and then run every quarter. Videos of the training sessions will be made available on the support site, which will also be updated and will include more videos and new articles. The existing framework Communities of Practice (CoP’s) will continue to be run by framework owners. Training dates will be confirmed and circulated in the next couple of weeks. Support article on the planned changes and training dates.
2. Clarification over terminology and access. 11:05
As a new user of DLS it was recognised that the standardisation of terminology is welcome to reduce confusion. This relates to the removal of framework specific terminology such as educator/manager and assessor and the terms Supervisor and Nominated Supervisor being used for all frameworks.
3. Transferring digital passport between trusts. 15:28
Staff must log into their DLS account and register with the new centre. Their passport record will transfer automatically so long as the new centre is also using the digital version. Support article on moving trusts.
4. User registered with multiple emails. 17:16
Centre managers can deactivate duplicate accounts if users are registered with multiple email addresses.
5. Frequent logouts when trying to sign off competencies. The submit button doesn't always work and we receive the 'something went wrong' error. 21:32
The platform has a timeout period (approx. 15 minutes). Errors like 'Something went wrong' are known issues. Refreshing the page or clicking through the error usually resolves it. Developers are working on improvements to the system infrastructure which will help system performance in the longer term. These improvements are expected to be complete by 18th July.
6. Existing centre exploring what is new on the DLS platform (e.g. clinical frameworks). 26:07
An existing centre already using IT skills frameworks and clinical systems training came to gather info to share with colleagues, especially around clinical frameworks. An overview of the three TEL platforms (DLS, elfh, Learning Hub) was given. The Learning Hub will eventually unify these services. They were encouraged to explore and share available frameworks with their trust.
6. Update on digital frameworks currently on platform. 35:50
Frameworks currently on the platform are:
- ACCEND
- Adult Critical Care IV Therapy Passport
- Data Professionals
- Digital IV Therapy Passport
- Digital Skills Assessment Tool
- Healthcare Support Worker Digital Passport
- Health Care Support Workers in Adult Critical Care
- National Paediatric Critical Care Competencies
