These are the issues that were covered during the drop in session.
The session was recorded, timestamps for each section are listed so you can navigate straight to the part of the video that you require.
1. Update on supervisors' names disappearing from certificates. 0:24
This issue was raised at the September drop-in session and has now been resolved.
2. Terminology changes (supervisor and nominated supervisor). 1:15
These should be implemented in the system in the next few weeks.
3. How can university lecturers access DLS? 1:47
Universities can have full access to DLS and be set up as a centre. This allows lecturers to view students progress and sign off competencies if required. Universities should contact support to arrange set up.
4. Can third sector organisations (for example charities) be set up on DLS? 4:02
DLS access is primarily for NHS trusts and universities. Access for third sector organisations needs to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Competence remaining in to do list even when actioned. 6:09
This isn't something the DLS team have come across before and may be a bug. The affected user was asked to submit a ticket with screenshots so the developers can investigate further.
6. Issues with system performance. 7:37
There are known issues when many users access DLS. Improvements are underway, with infrastructure upgrades planned over the next few months.
7. How to resubmit a rejected competency. 9:34
The learner needs to either clear the selection, or set it to ongoing or no (this will depend on the individual competency). They are then able to update it to yes and resubmit it. There is a support article with a step-by-step guide for anyone that needs guidance on how to do this.
8. Is it possible to report on rejected competencies? 12:53
This can be checked on an individual basis via the supervise function. In future the identifiable dashboard in Tableau will make it easier to identify this.
